Springfield, IL – On May 15th, shorty after Georgia’s governor signed a bill banning abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, three Georgia legislators sent a message to Illinois legislators, urging them to proactively pass legislation protecting reproductive freedom. Representative Ann M. Williams, Senator Kimberly A. Lightford, and Senator Melinda Bush sent a message back, reassuring legislative colleagues that they are doing all they can to pass the Reproductive Health Act.
