On Monday, May 12th, Representative Williams partnered with Representatives Margaret Croke, Yolonda Morris, and Jawaharial Williams, State Senators Sara Feigenholtz and Lakesia Collins, and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation for a Licensure Assistance Event at the Lincoln Park Branch of the Chicago Public Library. Officials from IDFPR were available to assist those awaiting professional licensure and expedite the processing of their applications, and representatives from all elected officials’ offices were present to answer any questions as well.
Over the past couple of years, Rep. Williams has heard concerns from constituents regarding extended delays and difficulties in dealing with the licensure process. Ensuring that 11th District constituents have access to a speedy, simple process remains a top priority within the district office. For this reason, Rep. Williams is proud to help put on events like this one, which assist those experiencing licensure delays and gives a platform for our community members to have their questions answered. All those experiencing issues with IDFPR’s licensure process are strongly encouraged to contact our office at 773-880-9082 or stay tuned to our social media channels for information on upcoming events like the one held on Monday.
