Rep. Williams joined fellow Rep. Kelly Cassidy as well as members of the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition for a Data Center-focused Town Hall at the Center on Halsted this week. As data centers are increasingly relevant and equally controversial for people all across Illinois, the group assembled to provide information about data centers, and to support the POWER Act, which would make Illinois a national leader in data center regulation. Rep. Williams, a leading co-sponsor of the POWER Act, explained how the bill would ensure that community input and strong environmental protections come first with any new data center development.
