Representative Ann Williams recently received a 100% score on the Illinois Environmental Council’s 2026 Environmental Scorecard. Illinois legislators are given these scorecards each year based on their voting record on environmental issues. Rep. Williams was a lead sponsor of SB 25, the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act (CRGA), a landmark bill expanding clean energy and improving energy affordability in the state. She also supported SB 2111, which established the Northern Illinois Transit Authority, and sponsored HB 5070, which ensures Illinois maintains strong environmental protections even as federal standards are weakened.
As the fight for a cleaner, safer future continues, Rep. Williams remains committed to building on this progress. She is working closely with colleagues, advocates, and environmental leaders on the next major environmental bill, the POWER Act, which would ensure data centers are tightly regulated in Illinois, a critical step toward protecting the state’s environment and communities.
