Each year our office organizes a Summer Food Drive that benefits the Common Pantry. This year we collaborated with Senator Sara Feigenholtz, Alderman Matt Martin, Alderman Tom Tunney, and Cook County Commissioner Bridget Degnen to collect donations from across the city. Our donations also came from community members who joined us for our Summer Yoga in the Park series.
This morning Representative Williams and Senator Feigenholtz went to the Common Pantry to drop off all the donations we collected. We were able to donate over 130lbs of food that will go to those in need.
Common Pantry accepts donations at any time, and if you are in need of their services they offer walk-in hours from 11 am to 4 pm on Wednesdays. To see more of the services they provide click HERE.
